How do I send a CT scan stored on a disc?
  • Step 1: opening a dental CT scan disc
    Step 1
    Open the disc
Discs often have AutoPlay enabled, so simply clicking the icon may launch the viewer.

To see the files on the disc, right-click its icon and choose Open in new window.
  • Step 2: creating a folder for dental CT files
    Step 2
Create a folder in a convenient location
You will need an empty folder. Give it a recognisable name, such as Last name First name or CT Last name.

Any name that clearly identifies your CT scan will work.
  • Step 3: selecting and copying all CT files from the disc
    Step 3
Select every file on the disc
Select ALL FILES on the disc. It is important to include every file. Then right-click and choose Copy.
  • Step 4: copying dental CT files into the new folder
    Step 4
Copy the files into the folder from step 2
Open the folder you created earlier, right-click inside it and choose Paste.
  • Step 5: compressing dental CT files into a ZIP archive
    Step 5
Compress the files into a ZIP archive
Select all the files in the new folder, right-click and choose Compress to ZIP file.

You can also use an archive utility such as WinZip or WinRAR, or the simple, free 7-Zip utility (download).
  • Step 6: a dental CT archive ready for cloud storage
    Step 6
Your archive is ready for cloud upload
The previous step created an archive in your folder. Windows or your archive utility may give it an automatic name; this does not matter.

Upload this archive to a cloud storage service, such as Yandex Disk (available with a Yandex email account), Mail.ru Cloud, Google Drive (available with a Gmail account), Dropbox, or another service.

This is always free, as every service provides at least 10 GB of free storage.
  • Step 7: uploading a CT archive to Yandex Disk
Step 7 (these final steps show how to upload a file to Yandex Disk)
Upload the archive to the cloud
Open your cloud storage service, such as Yandex Disk, and upload the archive to a convenient folder.
  • Step 8: getting a download link for the CT archive
    Step 8
    Get a download link
Click the uploaded archive, choose Share, then click Copy link in the window that opens.

The process is similar in other cloud storage services.

The link is now on your clipboard. Send it to us in whichever way is most convenient: by email, through the form above, by Instagram* direct message, WhatsApp, Telegram, or another channel.
