How do I send a CT scan stored on a disc?
  • Step 1: Open the disc — dental CT scan

    Open the disc
    Discs often have AutoPlay enabled, so clicking the icon may start the viewer.

    To open the disc contents, right-click its icon and choose Open in new window.
  • Step 2: Create a folder in a convenient location — dental CT scan

    You will need an empty folder. For convenience, give it a name such as Last name First name or CT Last name.

    Use any name that makes your CT scan easy to identify.
  • Step 3: Select all files on the disc — dental CT scan

    Select ALL FILES on the disc (it is important to include every file). Then right-click and choose Copy.
  • Step 4: Copy the files into the folder created in step 2 — dental CT scan

    Open the folder you created earlier, right-click and choose Paste.
  • Step 5: Compress the files in the folder — dental CT scan

    Select all the files you copied into the new folder, right-click and choose Compress to ZIP file.

    You can also use an archiver such as WinZip or WinRAR, or the simple free 7-Zip archiver (download).

    The previous step created an archive in the folder. Windows or your archiver may give it its own name; the name does not matter.

    Upload the archive to any cloud storage service, for example Yandex Disk (available if you have Yandex email), Mail.ru Cloud, Google Drive (available if you have Gmail), Dropbox, or another service.

    This is always free, as each service provides at least 10 GB free of charge.

    Open your cloud storage, for example Yandex Disk. Upload the archive to a convenient location.

    Click the uploaded archive, choose Share and then click Copy link in the window that opens.

    Other cloud services work in much the same way.
